What You Will DoAs an Air and Ocean Export Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately coordinating the safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods on behalf of assigned customer accounts or routes for, utilizing different modes of transportation and in compliance with all domestic and international laws and regulations, generating all required documentation and reports, and tracking of shipments ensuring timetables as per our customers' requirements.

A successful candidate will have excellent organization skills and attention to detail, the ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills, customer focus, strong communication (written and oral), and the ability to successfully collaborate with multiple internal and external customers to ensure safe and efficient logistics operation. They will have a strong initiative and sense of urgency to be able to prioritize work and follow through on everyday tasks while working in a fast-paced global logistics environment.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes

• Practicing Principled Based Management™ by applying the judgement, responsibility, initiative, economic and critical thinking skills, and sense of urgency necessary to generate the greatest contribution
• Using economic thinking to challenge and innovate our processes, eliminating wasteful activity
• Procure, quote, secure and manage air and ocean freight bookings with the carriers, trucking companies, ground handling agents and overseas freight forwarders for US exports/imports via web-based programs or carrier websites.
• Reviewing, managing, and distributing all shipping documents, including commercial invoice, packing list, letter of credit, certificate of insurance, certificates of origin and any other required documents.
• Filing Electronic Export Information with 100% compliance with the laws and regulations for US export shipments via the Automated Export System (AES)
• Ensure all shipments are processed in accordance with TSA and FMC regulations.
• Ensure all businesses and customers are proactively and fully informed of cargo status by keeping up to date in the systems and supplying appropriate information.
• Provide customer service support, coordinate pickups and/or deliveries, and maintain and file all shipments records

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Experience working in air and ocean export
• Experience preparing quotes, making bookings with airlines and ocean carriers
• Proven ownership, contribution mindset and have the ability to work under pressure when needed

What Will Put You Ahead

• Portuguese is a plus
• Experience with Latin American, European and Asian trade lanes
• Experience with electronic tools for booking, shipping instructions and tracking
• Knowledge on manufacturing supply chain and some ERP System (SAP, Nexus)
• +3 years working experience in Freight Forwarding industry
• Bachelor's degree
